William Maurice Stageman "Will", 59, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Monday afternoon June 16, 2014 at his residence. He was born on August 24, 1954 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to parents Grace (Yeiser) and Richard Stageman. William was raised in Des Moines, Iowa. After spending some time in St. Petersburg he has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 30 years. William was a journalist in the newspaper industry who kept his readers up to date with the news and current events. William enjoyed movies and was an avid golfer who always enjoyed a great game of golf he was known to his friends as the "Golf Man", and loved spending time with both his family and friends. William was of the Lutheran faith. Mr. Stageman is survived by his loving son Erik; father, Richard Stageman; sisters, Emily Rollison and Susan Stageman; brother, Richard Stageman; 6 nieces and nephews. Private services were held for the family.
