William Charles Meddings Jr. 84 of Lake Placid went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning October 22,2023 at his residence, surrounded by his family.  Bill was born on  November 3,1938 in Penshawken, New Jersey and was the son of  Sarah Niblic and  William C. Meddings Sr. Bill served his country with honors in the United State Air Force. Bill went to went to worked at the Lakehurst Naval Air  Station(Lakehurst Maxfield Field)as a firefighter after many years of service. Bill has been a residence of Lake Placid since 1988 after moving here from New Jersey. he was an active member of Faith Baptist Church in Lake Placid, Am vets, Elks, and  American Legion Post 25 Lake Placid. He enjoyed fishing with Billy, playing poker, and love to be his family and friends , anytime they could get together. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 17years Marisa, son Billy(William the 3rd),Joseph and daughters Elizabeth, Barbara and Jody, brother John and sister Virginia and Sarah and his grandchildren.  A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at Faith Baptist Church on November 4, 2023, at 11am with Pastor Bill Cole officiating..  Military honors will be presented by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
