William B. Dozer, Sr., 92, of Lake Placid passed away Saturday morning April 3, 2010 at the Lake Placid Health Care Center. He was born in Centerville, OH on October 12, 1917 to parents Josephine (Gabriel) and James H. Dozer. Mr. Dozer served in the US Army during WWII. He moved to Lake Placid in 1979 from Opa-Locka, FL after retiring as a ground school instructor in the aviation department with the Miami Dade Community Collage and was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church. Mr. Dozer is survived by his loving son; William B., Jr. 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a sister; Marion Anderson. A service celebrating Mr. Dozer's life will be held 11:00 AM Monday April 12, 2010 at the St Francis of Assisi Episcopal 43 Lake June Road Lake Placid, FL with Pastor Elizabeth Myers celebrating. The family suggest donations be made in William's memory to the St. Francis of Assisi Memorial Fund.
