William (Billy) D. Lusby, 84, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. William was born on November 20, 1938 in Knoxville, Tennessee and was the son of Ruth Givens Lusby and Clyde Lusby. William has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 19 years, moving here from Miami. He was a retired manager with the Meda-Car Medical Transport Company in Miami. William was of the Christian faith who enjoyed auto racing and was a big fan of NASCAR. He loved most to be with his family and friends anytime they could get together. William is survived by the love of his life of 53 years Beatrice, sister; Dorothy (Gordon) Amburn and many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate William's life will be held at a later date.
