William Duane Cook, 63, of Lake Placid, Florida went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday evening, October 8, 2021 at the Advent Health Sebring Hospital, with family by his side. William was born on November 5, 1957 in Wellsville, New York and was the son of Dora A. (Stocking) and William Christian Cook Jr.  William moved to Lake Placid three months ago from Avoca, NY where he was a retired installer in the flooring industry.  William was a member of the Wallace Wesleyan Church in Avoca, NY.  William enjoyed working on his hobby farm in New York, raising and caring for different types of animals.  He loved to be with his family and friends anytime they could get together. Especially time with his grandchildren.  William is survived by the love of his life of 45 years Kimberley, daughters; Bethany Adams, Sarah Zeh (Caleb), Maisy Cook, Emily Cook, sons; William N. Cook, Cody Cook, Jason Cook, 11 grandchildren; Kenyon Askins, Kyle and Kaitlynn Adams, Alex, Lilah and Billy Cook, Beau, Luke, Hawk, Jemma, and Oliver Zeh. Sister; Cheryl Cook and a brother; Steven Cook.  A service to celebrate William's life will take place at a later date in New York.
