Wesley K. Irons, 81, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord early Monday morning September 8, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 22, 1933 in New Jersey to parents Marion (Potts) and Mark K. Irons. Mr. Irons served his country with honor in the US Navy. He was a retired Financial Advisor and Vice President with Southeast Bank in Miami and moved to Lake Placid in August of 1991. Mr. Irons was a member of the Leisure Lakes Baptist Church, American Legion Placid Post 25 and the Lake Placid Elks Lodge 2661. An avid reader, Mr. Irons enjoyed reading WWII history, the University of Miami football games and loved spending time with both his family and friends. Mr. Irons is preceded in death by his loving daughter Amy Lee Carter and he is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Anita, son: Mark (Cindy) Irons, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. A service to celebrate Mr. Irons life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday September 21, 2014 at the Leisure Lake Baptist Church 808 Gardenia Street Lake Placid with Pastor Don Roberts officiating.
