Virginia Ashley Lucas, 89, of Stuart, FL went to be with her Lord on Friday evening June 21, 2013 at Martin Memorial in Stuart. She was born on March 3, 1924 in Indianapolis, IN to parents Elva and Wilbur Ashley. She moved to South Florida at a very young age where she received an Associate of Science degree in nursing. She worked in several medical institutions in Dade and Broward Counties. Virginia was a weekend and summer resident in Lake Placid and she was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Lucas is preceded in death by her loving husband Arnold David Lucas who passed away in November 1987. Virginia is survived by her loving sons, Darrall A. Lucas and Kirk Lucas; four grandchildren, Michelle, Jennifer, Mark and Darrall; great granddaughter, Riley and a sister, Patricia Cardinale. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday June 28, 2013 at the Scott Funeral Home 504. W. Interlake Blvd.., Lake Placid with graveside services at 11 AM Saturday June 29, 2013 at the Oak Hill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband with Rev.
