Vernon Simon Lesperance, 93, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 19, 2023 at his residence surround by his loving family. Vernon was born on July 28, 1929 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He was the son of Martha (Rysztykan) and Simon Lesperance. Vernon served his country with honors in the United States Air Force where he retired from as a communications specialist with 20 years of service. Vernon has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 40 years moving here from Wisconsin. Vernon was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. He enjoyed working around the house gardening, tinkering and fixing things, watching football games, and being outdoors. He loved to be with his family and friends when ever they could get together, especially time with his grand and great-grandchildren. Vernon is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years marriage, Fraila and is survived by his loving children; Mary Lou Van Kirk (Robert), Cindy Lee Ziegler, Debbie Lynn Groh (Michael), Kenneth Lesperance (Jennie), seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A celebrate for Vernon's life will be held at 10:30 Saturday October, 28, 2023  at St. James Catholic Church.
