Vance Darrell Pinkston, 82, of Lake Placid, Florida and Lexington, Kentucky went home to be with his Lord on Friday November 14, 2025, at his residence in Lake Placid. Vance was born June 12, 1943, in Washington County Kentucky and he was the son of Herschel and Lorraine (Darland) Pinkston. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard with honors. Vance loved spending winters in Florida. He was a retired owner of Vance Pinkston Trucking. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Vance could always be seen riding his golf cart in the neighborhood, which he enjoyed. Vance was a friend to all and willing to help anyone out. His greatest love was his family.

Vance is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Wanda. Sons Troy (Jill Holder) Pinkston and Scott Gammon. His 2 grandchildren Abby and William Gammon, Brothers Tony and Donnie Pinkston and sister Bonnie Tingle, along with many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Freddie and Tommy Pinkston along with sisters Anna Bandy and Patricia Lawson.
