Valerie Ann MacDowell, 73 of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Sunday , December 11, 2022 at the Advent Health Sebring Hospital . Valerie was born on April 17, 1949 in Waterbury, Connecticut, and was the daughter of Philomina and Louis Sandulli. Valerie has bee n a resident of Highlands for the past 15 years, moving here from Connecticut. She was a retired laboratory te chnician for the airlines . Valerie was a member of the Church of Buttonwood Bay in Se bring as well as the Sebring Moose Lodge. She enjoyed the social activities at both Buttonwood Bay and Cover ed Bridge. She enjoyed being with her family and friends especially time with her grandchildren. Valerie is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Gene, sons; David Sandulli, Michael and Jamie MacDowell a nd long with many grandchildren, a brother and his wife; Tony and Pat Sandulli, cousins; Nancy Vendetti and Donald Sevas and many loved nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Valerie's life will be held January 28,2023 at the Church of Buttonwood Bay 10001 US Hwy. 27 S. Sebring 2:00 PM with Pastor Cecil Hess officiating.
