Timothy Wayne Schultz, 72, of Lake Placid, Florida (formerly of Lima, Ohio) passed away peacefully Friday, September 24, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. Timothy was born on October 14, 1948 in Lima, Ohio and was the son of Dorothy Louise Briggs and Don Edmund Schultz, both of whom preceded him in death. His mother, Dolores Schultz, survives in Lima, Ohio. On September 11, 1971, he married Cora (Kathy) Schultz, who survives in Lake Placid. Tim and Kathy were able to celebrate their 50th Anniversary three weeks ago. Tim retired from Sprint (United Telephone Company) after 38 years of service. He was a 1967 graduate of Lima Senior High School and served his country with honors in the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant during Vietnam, serving in Germany as a Communication Specialist. Tim enjoyed many coffee breaks at the Kewpee Downtown, as well as scuba diving, amateur radio, and was always building small projects in the garage. Other survivors include daughter, Karen (Neil) Rowland of Wapakoneta, Ohio; son, Kevin (Sarah) Schultz of Cairo, Ohio; grandchildren: Amanda and Abbey Rowland, Maggie and Ava Schultz, Ethan, Kaylee and Hannah Stauffer; sisters Christina (Phil) Trout and Jennifer (Carl) Pugin; sister-in-law Joyce (Terry) Ranes; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. Tim was preceded in death by his brother Alan Schultz, and his in-laws Bill and Thelma Keith. Memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring, Florida. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday October 9, 2021 at 2 PM at Celebration Church, located at 1601 Rebecca Drive Lima, Ohio. A private family service will be held at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Fl with military honors to be provided by the US. Army Honor Guard.
