Obituary
Thomas David Walsh, 78, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Tuesday afternoon August 12, 2014 at his residence.
Thomas was born on July 27, 1936 in Grand Rapids, MI to parents Jennie (Debrowolski) and Stanley Walsh. Thomas served his country proudly in the US Navy as a corpsman. A retired sales representative for Fitzpatrick Electric in Grand Rapids Thomas moved to Naples for several years and then became a resident of Lake Placid for the past ten years.
Thomas was a member of the American Legion Placid Post 25, Lake Placid Moose Lodge 2374 and St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. Thomas was an avid stamp collector who enjoyed fishing, boating and loved spending time with his family and friends. Thomas is survived by his loving children, Vicki Oxley, Kim Little, Amy Rickenberg and Tom Walsh; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a very special companion and dear friend Monica Westdorp.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Thomas life will be held Monday August 18, 2014 at the St, James Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive Lake Placid with Father officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. James Memorial Gardens.
