Thomas Edward Smith, 32, of Lake Placid passed away on June 19, 2025, at his residence. He was a native Floridian who was born on March 22, 1993, in Fort Lauderdale. He is the son of Bonnie Jackson and Samuel Smith. Thomas has been a resident of Lake Placid for most of his life, moving here at an early age from Ft. Lauderdale. Thomas attended the local schools and graduated from Lake Placid Senior High School. He was a delivery driver with WW lumber "Ace Hardware" in Lake Placid. He enjoyed watching Seinfeld, helping his grandfather with handyman work, spending time with family at his grandparent's lake house, and making people laugh. Thomas had a wonderful sense of humor that will be missed by friends and family, alike. Thomas is survived by his loving parents Bonnie Jackson, Samuel Smith, and step-father Andy Jackson as well as his brother, Michael Smith, sister-in-law Kayla Smith, and grandparents Richard and Peggy Gray. The family will celebrate Thomas life in private.
