Thomas Joe Heck, 89, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring.  Thomas was born on April 30, 1935, in Hancock County, Indiana.  He was the son of Ruth (Bingham) and Donald Heck.  Thomas served is country with honors in the Indiana National Guard.  He worked for many years in the tool and die manufacturing industry before retiring.  He has been a resident of the Lake Placid area for the past 19 years, moving here from Indiana.   Thomas was of the Baptist faith who enjoyed coaching little league sports, scouting and wood working.  Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family and friends when every they could get together especially time with his grand and great-grandchildren.  Thomas is preceded in death by his two children; Theresa Pickett and William and he is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Margaret, son; Steven, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  The family will celebrate Thomas' life at a later date.
