Thomas W. Clark, Jr., "Tom" 95, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Saturday October 9, 2010 at the Bal Moral Assisted Living surrounded by his family. Mr. Clark was born on July 17, 1915 in Camden, NJ to parents Thomas W. and Louise (Nelson) Clark, Sr. He served his country in the US Army Air Force during WWII and was a supervisor overseeing many dredging operations along the coast. Tom moved to Lake Placid in 1981 from New Jersey and was a member of the American Legion Placid Post 25, VFW Lake Placid Post 3660, active with the Boy Scouts and his church St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Lake Placid. Mr. Clark loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed time on the water fishing, horse racing, playing cards and gardening. Mr. Clark is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Genevieve, sons; Thomas W. "Tom" Clark, III , and Robert Thomas Clark (Kathy) five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A service will be held 11:00 AM Monday November 8th to celebrate Mr. Clark's life at the Bal Moral Assisted Living 93 Bal Moral Drive, Lake Placid with Rev. Elizabeth Myers celebrating. Military honors to follow, will be presented by the VFW Post 4300 Honor Guard.
