Obituary
Thomas L. Burkhead, 65, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Saturday
morning August 18, 2018 at the Florida Hospital Lake Placid. Thomas was the son of
James and Sara Burkhead who was born on September 5, 1952 at Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Thomas was a retired electrician in the electrical industry. He has been a resident of Lake
Placid for the past 14 years moving here from Ft. Lauderdale. Thomas was of the
Christian faith. Thomas enjoyed seeing his favorite football team the Miami Dolphins
take to the field and play, as well as fishing the local lakes. Thomas enjoyed spending
time with his family and friends. He is survived by his sister; Ginger Levine (Herb), brothers;
James(deceased) and Jonathan Burkhead (Debbie) nephews David,Mark,and Daniel Burkhead and
Nephew Steven Levine (Jenna) along with niece Erin Keenright. Thomas also had three great nieces, and two great nephews.
In keeping with Thomas wishes, services to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date from the family.
