Terry Lee Charlton, 56, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Monday afternoon October 12, 2015 at his residence. Terry was the son of Alonzo Eugene Charlton and Mary Charlton who was born on April 6, 1956 in Parkersburg, WV. Terry moved to Lake Placid from West Virginia in 2014 and he was a cook in the restaurant industry. Terry was an avid sportsman who enjoyed all outdoor sports, hunting, fishing, football and gardening around the house. He loved to be with his family and friends. Terry was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Ellen; six sons, Eric, Ivan, Abel, Amos and Ira Willis and Arron Charlton; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Mearl Crews, Shirley Smith, Cindy Tremby and Caren Murphy; brothers, James D. and Mark Smith. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Terry's life will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015, at his residence from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
