Teena Thomas, 38, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the AdventHealth Tampa Hospital. Teena was a native Floridian who was born in Miami on November 13, 1987. She is the daughter of Lee (Joseph) and Roy Thomas. Teena was a member of the St, James Catholic Church here in Lake Placid. Teena enjoyed going to church, dressing up in her favorite “Pink” clothes, and watching her Disney movies. She loved to be with her family whenever they could get together. Teena is survived by her loving parents Lee and Roy Thomas, brother, Troyle Thomas, sister-in-law Jinu Rita Thomas and a niece, Sophia Thomas and many extended family members. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday May 6, 2026, at the Scott Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Teena’s life will he held 2 PM, Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the St. James Catholic Church 3880 Placid View Drive Lake Placid, FL. Burial will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park, FL.
