Tamarin Anne Magovern, 53, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Thursday morning November 7, 2019 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring.  Tamarin was born on February 18, 1966 in Denville, New Jersey to parents Linda (Braum) and James Magovern. She enjoyed working with children with special needs and took that passion and became a teacher working in several school districts including the Highlands County School System.  Tamarin was of the Methodist faith and attended the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake Placid. Tamarin was a member of the VFW, who enjoyed listening to music, doing crafts, her animals and volunteering at the Humane Society. She is preceded in death by a brother William Scott Magovern.  She is survived by her loving daughter; Alexandra "Ali" Griffin and mother Linda Braun and two brothers; James J. Magovern III and Michael Carl Magovern. A service to celebrate Tamarin's life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Pastor Alex Christian officiating.
