Sylvia Patricia Nattrass

Sylvia Patricia Nattrass, 78, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning, January 8, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Sylvia was the daughter of Elizabeth (Hargreaves) and Walter Bettison who was born on December 18, 1940 in Leeds, England. Sylvia has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 14 years moving here from Naples, FL. after retiring as a pre-school teacher.  Sylvia was active in the community volunteering at the New Hope thrift store in Lake Placid. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. Sylvia enjoyed gardening around the house and taking care of her dogs. Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Denvers "Denny", son; Joseph Thomas Nattrass, a sister; Rosemary Wray and a brother; Harry Bettison.  A funeral mass to celebrate Sylvia's life will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday. January 23, 2019 at the St. James Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive Lake Placid with Father Shawn celebrating.
