Sophia Pauline Terrill, 85, of Lake Placid, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday February 12, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. She was born on September 2, 1927 in South Bend, IN to parents Sophia (Wolf) and Fred Lobaugh. Mrs. Terrill was a retired computer technician who started her career with IBM when computers were just coming out then working for several other companies including National Standard. She moved to Lake Placid in 1984 from Marcellus, MI. Sophia was an avid reader who enjoyed painting, was a master gardener, sewing, wood carving and was one of the original caladium cloggers and loved spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Terrill was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid. Mrs. Terrill is survived by her loving children, Kathy Rains, Kimberly Golden, Michael Steven Singleton and James Allen Singleton; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Sophia's life will be held 4:00 PM Sunday March 17th 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid 118 North Oak Avenue, Lake Placid with Rev. Ray Cameron officiating.
