Shirley L. Gaylord, 82, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Thursday morning December 8, 2011 at the Florida Hospital Lake Placid. She was born on November 18, 1929 in Ogilvie, Minnesota to parents Lawrence and Norma (Yost) Siebert. A graduate of Northwestern Hospital School of Nursing and Anesthesia where she received a degree in both nursing and anesthesia. She moved to Lake Placid from Lubbock, TX in 1971 after her late husband's retirement from the Air Force. Mrs. Gaylord was a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, American Red Cross Nursing Services, Military Officers Association of America, Gold Star Wives of America, Inc., and AARP and was of the Christian Faith. Mrs. Gaylord loved spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her loving sister; Dorinne J. Dillon (Robert), nieces; Debra Stock (Dan), Wenda Jackson (Jim) and Cindy Pflepsen (Dan), numerous great nieces and nephews and many great-grand nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00PM till 2:00 PM Tuesday December 13, 2011 with funeral services celebration Shirley's life following at 2:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W.
