Shane Travis Whitaker, 41, of Chicago, IL went home to be with his Lord on April 8, 2018.  Shane was the son of Karen Lynn (Barry) and Allen Vaughn Whitaker who was born on August 10, 1976 in Valparaiso, IN.  Shane took his skills of being able to put equipment together and work on the assembly line manufacturing lawn equipment.  Shane was of the Christian faith.  He enjoyed music and DJing and loved to spend time with his family and friends.  He is survived by his loving parents Karen and Allen, brother; Jason, aunts; Teresa, Julie and Faye and a uncle; Garrick and many cousins.  A service to celebrate Shane's life will be held 4:00 PM on April 28, 2018 at Working Faith Ministries 424 CR 29, Lake Placid, FL with Pastor Oakie officiating.
