Sandra K. Hurlbutt, 69, of Lake Placid went home to be with her Lord on Thursday morning July 4, 2024 at her residence. Sandra was born on August 18, 1954 in Muncie, Indiana and was the daughter of Volena (Gibson) and Dexter Goodman. Sandra has been a resident of Lake Placid since the 1980's moving here from Albany, Indiana. She was a retired customer service representative in the retail sales industry. Sandra was an active member of the South Oak First Baptist Church of Lake Placid. She enjoyed volunteering at her church, local thrift stores, New Hope and attending many of the social activities around town. Sandra loved to be with her family and friends anytime they could get together, especially time with her grandchildren. Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Irving, sons; Michael "Cleat" Jacobs (Megan), Jerry "PooDoo" Jacobs, step-daughters; Brandi Suro (Jon), Nicole Hurlbutt, Brena Carpenter (Jamie), 17 grandchildren and many extended family members. A service to celebrate Sandra's life will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, July 12, 2024 at South Oak First Baptist Church 119 E Royal Palm St, Lake Placid FL with Pastor Keith Campbell officiating.
