Obituary

Samuel R. Licht, Jr., 88, of Lake Placid, Florida and formerly of Richmond, Virginia died October 30, 2010. He is survived by his devoted wife, June and his children, Terry Smith of Waterview, Virginia, Elizabeth Cohen of Richmond, Virginia, and is predeceased in death by his son, Tom Licht. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Jenny, Jamison, Thomas, Nickolas and Sam; two great grandchildren, Leela and Lacey; and his sister, Nancy Battan of Denver, Colorado; four step-children, Susan Bradley, Vicki Phillips, Tom Spevak and Jim Spevak, four step-grandchildren; Erica, Robert, Spencer and Sydney. Sam was an Alumnus of the Colorado School of Mines and proudly served his country as Captain in the US Army Corp of Engineers in World War II and in the Korean Conflict. He retired from E. I. du Pont, de Nemours & Co. (DuPont) in Richmond after 30 years of service and was active in the Methodist Church. At Sam's request, no services will be conducted. He will be missed by all who know and loved him. Those wishing, please make memorial donations to your own favorite charity.
