Sally S. Goodyear, 73, of Lake Placid, Florida went to be with her Lord on Tuesday morning June 11, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. She was born on March 5, 1940 in Kendallville, IN to parents Virginia (Boring) and Gerald Sigler. She was a graduate of Leesburg (FL) High School and attended Central Florida Junior College. Mrs. Goodyear and husband Ed moved to Lake Placid from Steamboat Springs, CO in November of 1993. Sally and Ed lived in Steamboat Springs 18 years where Sally loved owning and operating her Christmas Fantasy Store. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, traveling and loved spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Goodyear was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church in Lake Placid. Sally is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Ed; daughters, Pamela Hober (Bill), Jenifer Goodyear (Steve Sigler); son, Gregory Goodyear; five grandchildren, Sierra and Alexandra Hober, Kristin, Heather and Jessica Sigler. She is also survived by her brothers Jimmy (Sandy) Sigler, Allen (Diane) Sigler, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Sally's life will be held 11:00 AM Monday July 15, 2013 at the Memorial United Methodist Church, 500 Kent Avenue Lake Placid with Rev. Jerry McCauley officiating. There will also be a celebration of life service at the United Methodist Church in Ocklawaha, Fl on July 17, 2013 at 10AM with a covered dish lunch after the service. Pastor Charles Snyder officiating. Inurnment graveside services will take place 1:00 PM Wednesday July 17, 2013 Highlands Memorial Park in Ocala, FL.
