Ruth Emily Mottinger, 92, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 11, 2015 at the Balmoral Assisted Living in Lake Placid. She was the daughter of Irene Braney and Mylan Letzkus and was born on January 4, 1923 at New Castle, PA. She moved to Lake Placid from North Miami in 1978 and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid. Mrs. Mottinger was an avid golfer who enjoyed working around the house. She loved to be with her family and friends. Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband Harry. She is survived by her loving son, Dick Mottinger (Christine); tow grandchildren, Lori Sees and Richard Mottinger, Jr.; and a sister Mary Shaughnessy. A private service for the family to celebrate Ruth's life was held in Lake Placid.
