Ruth Fegers, 87, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Saturday afternoon November 21, 2015 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. She was the daughter of Terese McDonald and Walter Gillespie, who was born on April 28, 1928 in Titusville, PA. Mrs. Fegers was a registered nursing and homemaker. She and her husband moved to Lake Placid from Leesburg a year ago. Ruth enjoyed a good day shopping never missing a good sale, a game of bingo and cooking those special meals for her family. Ruth loved to be with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Fegers was of the Catholic faith and attended the St. James Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years Bob; daughters, Kathi Fegers, Diana Yearout (Jarvis); sons, Tom and Bobby Fegers; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 25, 2015 to celebrate Ruth's life at the St. James Catholic Church 3380 Placid View Drive Lake Placid with Father Victor Caviedes celebrating. Burial will follow the service at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
