Russell Joseph Gerbich, loving and devoted husband of 46years to Soly, went home to be with his Lord at the age of 77 on Tuesday afternoon, February 20, 2024 at Advent Hospital in Sebring.  Russell was born on November 6, 1946 to Maria and Joseph Gerbich in Hibbing, Minnesota. He was of the Catholic faith and will be remembered dearly by his family and friends for sharing his kind-hearted intelligent creative fun heart. Russell was a resident of Lake Placid that enjoyed boating on the local lakes and formerly a 25-year resident of Pembroke Pines. He retired as a sale representative for the heating and cooling industry. One proud title he held was "Uncle Russ" and he left a legacy for trying new things, creating joy, and living in the moment. Russell used cutting-edge technology for woodworking, 3D printing, authoring and publishing online books to bring his visions to life. He hand-crafted retirement gag gifts that were always a party hit. He loved playing music, encouraging karaoke singers, and hanging out with family whenever they could get together.  He was proud of his brothers in laws, nephews and nieces serving in the military too. He is survived by the love of his life Soly Burgess Gerbich, brothers in law Bill and Richard Burgess and Dr Gary Lammert, sister in law Nina Burgess Lammert, eight nieces and nephews, eight great-nieces and great-nephews, two godsons and one goddaughter.  A graveside service to celebrate Russell's life will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 11:00 at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, Doral, FL.
