Ruby Mielke-Herndon, 104, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord, Saturday morning July 3, 2010 at Southern Lifestyles Lake Placid. She was born on November 25, 1905 in Fond Du Lac, WI to parents Richard and Edna (Baker) Salter. She moved to Lake Placid from Wisconsin in 1973. She was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church of Lake Placid, Past Royal Matron with the Order of the Eastern Star Lake Placid and the Amethyst Society. Mrs. Mielke-Herndon is survived by her loving children; Mrs. Sue Pagel and Charlie Mielke, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. There will be a service celebrating Ruby's life Monday July 5, 2010 at the Memorial United Methodist Church 500 Kent Avenue, Lake Placid with Rev. Jerry McCauley celebrating.
