Mrs. Rose Hanna Frewin, 95, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Saturday afternoon October 13, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on September 30, 1917 in Cazenovia, WI to parents Barbara (Melford) and James Cunningham. Mrs. Frewin moved to Lake Placid in 2009 from Rockford, IL. Mrs. Frewin was a avid golfer who also enjoyed playing a good game of bridge and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League, Mauh Nah Tee See Country Club, and St Bridget Church in Rockford, IL and St. James Catholic Church in Lake Placid. Mrs. Frewin is preceded in death by her husband Joe Frewin and 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her loving daughter Nell Frewin-Hays and her husband James. The family will receive friends at the Scott Funeral Home, 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday evening October 16, 2012 with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM by Father Michael Cannon. Further service and A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Rockford, IL with interment to follow at the St. Mary and St James Cemetery in Rockford, IL.
