Ronald Gene Edwards “Ronnie”, 79, of Lake Placid, FL, went home to be with his Lord on Friday afternoon, June 19, 2026, at the AdventHealth Sebring Hospital. Ronnie was born on March 29, 1947, in Minden, Louisiana, and he was the son of Dera (Dean) and J. W. Edwards. He has been a resident of the Lake Placid area for the past three years, moving here from Marco Island, FL. Ronnie was a retired owner and operator of a lumber yard. His knowledge of wood, wood products and the cost of those products made him an important person to go to find out the cost of doing a project. He enjoyed sports, fishing, hunting, boating, just being outdoors with nature. He loved to be with family and friends whenever they could get together. Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Jennifer, son Jed Edwards, daughter Kristen and three grandchildren; Will, Claudia and Charlie.
