Obituary

Roger L. Keys "Cowboy", 75, of Sebring went home to be with his Lord on October 4, 2022 at the HCA Florida Highlands Hospital in Sebring. Cowboy was born on August 15, 1947 in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was the son of Evelyn (Needles) and Paul Keys. Cowboy has been a resident of Highlands County since 1994 moving here from Ohio. Cowboy served his country with honors in the United States Navy. He was the owner and op erator of the American Recycling/Ecology where he worked for many years before retiring. Cowboy was of the Christian faith and a member of the Elks, Moose, Eagles, a Mason, the VFW and the American Legion. Cowboy enjoyed singing and listening to country music. He loved to be with his family and friends anytime they all could get together. Cowboy is survived by his loving wife of 33 years; Jackie, daughters; Gwen Jayne, Dakota Keys, sons; Roger, Paul, Tim, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a sister; Beverly Gornall. In keeping with Cowboy's wishes, the family will celebrate is life privately.
