Rodney D. Salverio, 69, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the AdventHealth Lake Wales Hospital.  Rodney was born on July 14, 1953 in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania and was the son of Jane (Kutz) and Mario Salverio.  Rodney moved from Pennsylvania to Florida in 2008 after retiring as a Boilermaker.  He was of the Lutheran faith and a member of the Boilermakers Union Local 13 in PA.  Rodney enjoyed a good round of golf, fishing the local lakes, hiking, traveling and visiting old historic homes.  He loved taking care of the hummingbirds in the yard and being with his family and friends anytime they could get together.  Rodney is survived by the love of his life of 35 years Lynn (Serok), sons; Gino and Jason Salverio, daughter; Holly Salverio, grandson; Jase, brother; Randy Salverio and sisters; Sally Laub and Susan Straw.  A service to celebrate Rodney's life will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Rev. Richard Norris officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
