Roberta Kramer, 87, of Lake Placid went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning June 4, 2014 at the Lake Placid Health Care Center. She was born on January 26, 1927 in Christine, TX to parents Joy (Oldaker) and Lee Roy Shira. After graduating from the Lake Placid High School Mrs. Kramer moved to West Palm Beach and worked for several different companies. When she married her husband Bob, she became his company manager and helped with the day to day operations of their construction business. After the lost of her husband, she moved back to Lake Placid to share a home with he twin brother for fifteen years. Of all her years Mrs. Kramer never drove a car, but she enjoyed camping, traveling and loved spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Kramer was a member of the Church of Christ in Lake Placid. Mrs. Kramer is preceded in death by her loving husband Bob, her twin brother Robert Shira who passed away on May 10, 2014. She is survived by her nephew Cab Shira (Tina) in Lake Placid and a grand nephew. A private service for the family to celebrate Mrs. Kramer's life was held.
