Robert John Szlosek, 75, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Friday morning September 28, 2012. He was born on June 27, 1937 in Syracuse, NY to parents Mary (Latocha) and Bruce Szlosek. Robert moved to Lake Placid eight years ago from Liverpool, NY after retiring as a Certified Public Accountant. Robert enjoyed fishing and family trips and loved spending time with both family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion Placid Post 25 and the St. James Catholic Church. Mr. Szlosek is preceded in death by his loving son John and is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Susan; daughter, Teresa; sons, Mark (Karen) and Timothy; granddaughters, Abigail and Jennifer; a brother, Paul (Joanne). A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Mr. Szlosek's life will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday morning October 2, 2012 at the St. James Catholic Church 3880 Placid View Drive Lake Placid with Father Michael Cannon celebrating.
