It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Robert John Crothers, 71, on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Robert was born on August 6, 1953, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to his parents Howard and Alvine Crothers. Bob "Bic" recently moved to Lake Placid, retiring here from New Jersey.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his family and looked most forward to quality time with his grandchildren, both in Canada and the United States. He spent countless hours tinkering around the house and the yard, if he could fix it or improve it, he did just that. In his spare time the water was his friend, he loved being out on the boat with friends or simply relaxing poolside. His most recent activity was golf carting around the community with his co-pilot "Ann". Robert was a special kind of person, to know him was to love him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara "Ann" Griffith, his children, Andrew Crothers (Sherry), Graeme Crothers (Lexi) and his stepchildren, Shelby Cowan (Pete), Shawn Cobbett, Daniel Varley (Stephanie), Jennifer Varley, Brian Varley (Rebecca). He is also survived by his brother, Howard Crothers (Anna) and his sister, Carol Gladhill (Larry) and by his eight beautiful grandchildren. Bob also leaves behind a host of other family members and friends. Cheers to Mark, Malcolm and John, you always held a special place in his heart. Bob was predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Thelma and Betty.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Condolences received by Barbara Griffith (856)-490-1673. A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at a later date.
