Robert R. Albelli, 80, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Sunday morning, October 2, 2016 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Sebring. Robert was born on April 19, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in New Jersey by his parents Fritz and Ida Albelli (both deceased). He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Peggy), his daughter, Melissa Barlaug, and his granddaughter, Meghan Barlaug. Robert has been a resident of Lake Placid since 1988, moving here from upstate New York. Robert retired from the New York Transit and also retired from the Highlands County School Board. He was a member of the River Ranch Association and NRA. Robert enjoyed many outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing. A private service was held for the family to celebrate Robert's life
