Richard "Rick" T. Armstrong, 79, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2024, at the Lake Placid Health and Rehabilitation Center. Rick was born on December 19, 1944, in Bedford, Indiana and was the son of Otis and Agatha Armstrong. He and wife, Brenda, were the owners of Armstrong Carpets in Bedford, where they made lifelong friendships. They also loved retiring at Lake Placid and making new friends there. Rick was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed a good round of golf, fishing the local lakes, going to the casino playing slots, and was an avid BNL Stars and Indiana Hoosier fan. He loved to be with family and friends whenever they could get together. Rick is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Brenda and sister; Sherry Neeley. He is survived by his loving brother; David Armstrong (June), stepson; Michael Bartlett (Carmela), two grandsons; James and Cameron Bartlett, Brother-in-law; Wayne Neeley, many nieces and nephews and very dear friends JR and Valarie Herring.
