Obituary

Richard E. Kaiser, 74, of Lake Placid went to be with his Lord on Sunday afternoon October 23, 2011 in Sebring. He was born on February 8, 1937 in Paw Paw, IL to parents Earl P. and Phoebe (Grunderman) Kaiser. He served his country in the US Air Force retiring with 20 years of service, moving to Lake Placid in 1975 from Anchorage, Alaska. He then worked for the US Postal Service in Lake Placid as a postal clerk until retirement. Richard was a member of the Lake Placid Elks Lodge 2661, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Bodies and the Mahi Shriners Al Sahib in Anchorage, served with the Sarasota Mahi Shriners in the horse patrol, and was Past Commander and manager of the lounge with the American Legion Placid Post 25. Mr. Kaiser was of the Christian faith. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marilyn and is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Betty; sons, Richard P. Kaiser (Janet) of Palm Coast, FL, Michael V. Kaiser (Paula) of Guyton, GA; 8 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and brothers, Kenny Kaiser of Paw Paw and Jack Kaiser of Oklahoma City, OK. Military Honors to celebrate Mr. Kaiser's life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday October 27, 2011 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., lake Placid with the VFW Post 4300 Honor Guard Celebrating. Inurnment will take place on Friday at the Florida Nation Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
