Richard Dennis Humphrey "Rick", 68, of Lake Placid passed away March 29, 2012. Originally from Michigan, He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. Rick became a resident of Lake Placid in 1986. He became an employee at Georgia Pacific, where he later retired. Mr. Humphrey was well known in the community and was loved by all. Rick is preceded in death by his father Deward, his mother Elsie and his brother Deward Humphrey, Jr. Mr. Humphrey is survived by; brother Gary Humphrey, sisters Carol Ditmar and Pat Raboum, all residents of Michigan; daughters Dawn and Sherri Harger and son Joshua Anderson and 8 grandchildren. A celebration of Rick's life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday April 7, 2012 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid with Rev. Richard Norris celebrating. Military honors will follow by the VFW Post 4300 Honor Guard.
