Richard Maurice Cady, 84, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Sebring. Richard was born on October 16, 1938 in Poughkeepsie, New York and was the son of Anna (Siezak) and Maurice I. Cady. Richard served his country with honors in the United States Air Force. He has been a resident of Lake Placid since 1999, moving here from Pinellas Park, FL. He was a master woodworker who could make and repair anything wood. After his retirement he continued making and fabricating things for the house in his workroom. Richard enjoyed being outdoors, working with his R/C sailboats and wooden sailboats, and loved to be with his family and friends anytime they could get together, especially time with his grand and great-grandchildren. Richard is preceded in death by his loving wife of 37 years Jeanette Cady, his first wife Rita Marie Cady and h is daug hter Tracy. Richard is survived by his loving children; Catherine Dow (Adam), Michele Barker, Richard M. Cady (Carrie), John Shea (Terri), 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a brother; Raymond R. Cady. A private service to celebrate Richard's life will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL with military honors by the United States Air Force Honor Guard for immediate family.
