Richard V. Arrowsmith, 82, of Lake Placid, FL went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at his residence. Richard was born on June 1, 1944, in Streator, Illinois, and he was the son of Lois (Scroggins) and George Arrowsmith. He has been a resident of Lake Placid for the past 14 years, moving here from Illinois. Richard worked for many years and retired from Caterpillar as a transmission assembly technician. Richard was of the Baptist faith who enjoyed woodworking, remodeling things, hunting, fishing, taking cruises and trips to the casinos. He loved to be with his family and friends whenever they could get together. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Donna, children; Wendi (Jason) Black, Doug (Tracey) Arrowsmith, Chad Arrowsmith and Samantha (Daryl) Young, six grandchildren, CayliAnna (Aaron) Peters, Sarah McIntyre, Isaiah Watson, Genavieve Watson, Arabella Watson and Victoria Young; ten great-grandchildren, a sister Janis Vanwinkle and a brother James (Prachuabchit) Arrowsmith.
