Rex H. Caddell, Nov. 30, 1925 - April 19, 2015 and Margaret R. Caddell May 30, 1931 - April 21, 2015.
With his wife and family by his side, Rex went peacefully in his sleep. 27 hours later, while she lay sleeping and waiting, he came back for her and said "time to go Margaret."
Rex and 'Peewee' -as she was affectionately known by all; were married on Sept. 4, 1950. Shortly after, they moved to Miami, FL, to raise their family, and then later retired to Lake Placid, FL.
Rex proudly served in the US Navy in WWII. He retired from a long career with Florida Power & Light Co. in Miami. He was an avid fisherman, and was once mentioned in an article in the Miami Herald, as the best Snook fisherman in the So. Florida area. He took his family fishing and camping every weekend. Many memories and life lessons were generated during these trips.
Peewee was a 'kick-butt, ask questions later' kind of gal, devoted to her family, a loving wife and mother. She was an avid reader and seamstress. Her cooking and baking will be remembered and missed by all.
They were preceded in death by their eldest son, Larry Blake Caddell on Feb. 26, 1977. Left behind to cherish a lifetime of memories are their children, Rex Alan (Georgette) Caddell, Chris (Jeff) Dryden, and Robin (Buddy) Moore. Grandchildren: Jessica, David, Amanda, Courtney, Charlotte, Trey, and Blake. Great Grandchildren: Lexi, Adam, Eva, Ruby and River. As well as many other loved family members and friends.
