Raymond "Terry" Mullins, devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on July 26,2025 at the age of 84. Born on March 6,1941, terry lived a life marked by quiet dedication, enduring love for his family and steadfast values rooted in tradition and kindness.
Raised in East Texas, Terry graduated from Tatum High School in Tatum, TX. He continued his education at Kilgore Junior College, where he proudly played football. Later he earned his bachelor's degree in animal science and animal husbandry from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX in 1964. His passion for agriculture and the natural world was lifelong, grounded in hard work and appreciation for the land. Terry managed many cattle ranches across the southern United States. Residing in Texas, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina and lastly Florida where he had lived since 1977.
Terry was preceded in death by his beloved wife Diane Jean (Lloyd) Mullins; his sister, Martha Ann Mullins; brother, Jerry Lee Mullins; mother, Martha Evelyn (Melton) Mullins; father, Maxie Raymond Mullins; and grandparents, Claude and Rosa Mae Mullins, and Jesse and Genie Elizabeth Melton.
He is survived by his sister, Jann Mullins Smith (Ray); his son, Rusty Wayne Mullins (Robbie); his daughter, Denise Mullins Mishoe (Cliff); and his cherished granddaughters, Macey J. Mullins and Molly Mae Ahmed. He is also remembered fondly by his nieces and their father, Halea Freeman Hayden (Tim); Jennifer Freeman Bender (Albert); and Charles Freeman; and his great-nephew, Graeme Hayden. Terry's legacy is one of quiet generosity, gentle humor and fierce devotion to his family. Those who knew him will forever carry the memory of his steady presence and the love he so freely gave.
