Philip S. Costello, 56, of Lake Placid, FL passed away at his home on Sunday March 13, 2011. He was born to Barbara and Sal Costello (both deceased) on April 21, 1954 in Yonkers, NY. He attended Sleepy Hollow High School in Tarrytown, NY and graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Florida. Besides his beloved wife Sara, he is survived by his sister, Lauri Martone and her husband Joe, his niece, Barbara, his nephew, Joey, his uncle and aunt Gary and Linda Thela and his stepson Michael Carnes. For more than thirty years he rehabilitated real estate in New York, Vermont, South Florida and Lake Placid. He spent his spare time gardening, fishing and woodworking. He was a loving husband, brother, nephew, uncle and son. Philip loved life and he valued family above all else. He will be greatly missed by all he leaves behind. A celebration of his life will be held in North Carolina and New York at a later date.
