Peter Niels Jensen, 76, of Lake Placid went home to be with his Lord on Monday, November 29, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Peter was born on October 15, 1945 in Rochester, New York and was the son of Niels and Ruth Jensen.  Peter served his country with honors in the US Air Force.  Peter moved here to Lake Placid in 1993 from New York to get away from the cold winters.  He was a retired residential electrician.  Peter was of the Christian faith.  Peter was an active member of the Lake Placid Moose Lodge where he could be seen helping out in many of the lodge activities.  Peter enjoyed a good round of golf and enjoyed being with family and friends anytime they could get together.  Peter is preceded in death by his loving daughter Amy and a sister; Jane Onufryk.  He is survived by the love of his life of 56 years Bonnie, daughters; Marcia Martin (Brian), Sherry Millerd (Rich), four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sisters; Karen Clarke and Sharon Lootens.  In keeping with Peter's wishes, the family will celebrate his life in private.
