Patricia A. Lewis, 84, of Lake Placid, Florida, passed peacefully into the
arms of her Lord on the morning of Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Balmoral
Assisted Living.
A proud native Floridian, Patricia was born in Miami on June 2, 1940, to
Pauline (Bramble) and Prewitt Wells. She spent most of her life in Miami
before relocating to Lake Placid twenty years ago. Patricia dedicated her
professional life to serving others, retiring as an office administrator from
Coral Gables Elementary School.
A devoted member of St. James Catholic Church, Patricia lived her faith
with quiet strength and grace. She found joy in life's simple
pleasures—shopping, traveling, painting, and tending to her garden. Above
all, Patricia cherished time spent with her loved ones, especially her
grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and
joy. A lifelong dog lover, Patricia rarely went anywhere without her beloved
companions, Coco & Ginger.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph G. Lewis, and her
eldest son, Michael G. Lewis. She leaves behind her son, Christopher
Lewis, and his wife, Laura; her grandchildren, Madeline Lewis Henshaw
(Kyle), Meredith Lewis, and Gabriel Lewis; and Michael's children,
Christopher Lewis (Caley), Ashley Jackson (Colen), and Kaitlyn Thompson
(Matt). Patricia's legacy also lives on in her four great-grandchildren, who
will continue to carry forward her love and spirit.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Patricia's life will be held at
10:00 AM on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Oak Hill Cemetery, with Chaplain Joe
officiating.
