Ovida Prescott, 81, of Lake Placid went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning August 2, 2014 at the Kenilworth Care and Rehabilitation Center in Sebring.
A native of Lake Wells, Mrs. Prescott was born on August 3, 1932 to parents Ruby (Partin) and Elisha Tucker. She moved to Lake Placid in 1951 and was a grader with Consolidated Tomoka when she retired. Mrs. Prescott was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed gardening, cooking, a good game of cards, fishing, dancing, traveling to North Carolina and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Prescott is preceded in death by her loving husband Carl and she is survived by her loving sons, Gary, Bruce and Dennis; five grandchildren, Justin, Jeffery, Joel, Shannon and Blake; five great- grandchildren, Jada, Hadlee, Taryn, Myles and Tayla and a sister Louise Atwell.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday (today) August 6, 2014 at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd., Lake Placid and graveside services to follow at 2:30 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastors Jack White and Sonny Howell officiating.
