Nora J. Cotroneo, 85, of Lake Placid, FL passed away peacefully at home Sunday evening August 22, 2010. Born in Petersburg, VA and married to her beloved husband Patrick J. Cotroneo for 62 years, and residing in Lake Placid 35 years. Nora was a housewife a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was very talented and gifted and loved to laugh and dance. Mom, it was an honor and a privilege and a gift from God, to take care of you all these years. Your face with your big, bright eyes and beautiful smile is etched in my mind and my heart forever. Mrs. Cotroneo is survived by her devoted daughter, Linda Schnell, of Lake Placid, son; Joseph William of Lake Placid, five grandchildren; Laura Haenlein (Paul), Patrick Cotroneo (Lindsay), Joseph Cotroneo, Gina Forest (Mark)and Dominic Cotroneo (Hannah), eight great grandchildren; Morgan, Zachary and Madison Haenlein, Anthony and Giavanna Cotroneo, Brandon Dussault , Sophia Forest and Aiden Cotroneo. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 AM Wednesday August 25, 2010 with funeral services to follow at 11:30 AM at the Scott Funeral Home 504 W. Interlake Blvd. Lake Placid.
